It’s been a while since I was in the dating game. Not the Dating Game dating game… you know what I mean. I don’t even know what I would do. Or how to even meet someone I’d want to date. It’s like, I took a hammer and nailed a couple of nails into a board once. Then, because I had experience doing that, I was told to build a house. If that were you, wouldn’t you be slightly freaked out?
“Just be yourself.” Worst. Advice. Ever. That is, if you want to date someone. It’s fine to be yourself when you’re not necessarily trying to attract the attention of someone. That’s fine. But if you want so much as a shred of hope to be a blip on someone’s radar, you’re gonna have to play the game to get there. People who say they’re just being who they are when dating are lying. If you’re being who you are, why would you need to say anything? Why?
